I'm a member of several different Facebook groups that deal with dog training and one of them has a number of members from the UK. Using "liver paste" comes up regularly in that group, with many folks touting how much their dogs LOVE it.....so I had to give it a try!
No doubt about it - dogs love to chew on meat. But too often, the "chewy-meat" treats you can buy at the stores are from questionable sources or can be pretty pricey. So I experimented with making some jerky-type treats of my own and they were a big hit!
Most dogs love cheese and this week's treat recipe smelled so yummy while cooking that I had to try a bite! I kind of liked 'em and Ringo thought they were "eye-poppin' good"!
One of the latest trends on the natural, organic dog food front is sweet potatoes. I don't know why, but most dogs seem to really love them.
Snickers is not happy about me discussing her girlish figure in writing, on a public forum. Or maybe she just doesn't like the fact that I've somewhat randomly cut back on her daily quantity of food, training treats and snacks.
Or technically, the "Teenage Dog 5". Last week, I began to notice that Snickers, my 20 month old "puppy" was looking a little, shall we say, "thicker"? So we got on the scale this morning and sure enough, she's gone from 42 lbs up to 47 lbs since the last time I weighed her, which was probably in October. Yikes!
